Finding work in a hotel is not as simple as it seems, because there are many roles involved and it is often not possible to identify structures with open positions that are truly suited to your role. Even for the hotelier it is not easy to find the right collaborators, because in the structure there is a need for very specific skills and a particular attitude towards guests. For this reason, JobValet was born in February , a new portal dedicated entirely to the search and offer of jobs in hotels. To find out more and understand what distinguishes it from other job search sites, we interviewed Pino Barbiera , CEO and cofounder of JobValet together with chairman Mario Cardone .

Pino Barbiera: JobValet, online since mid-February 2017 , was born from the meeting between hospitality experts and digital transformation experts to revolutionize the process of matching job supply and demand in the hotel sector by putting skills at the center of the selection process and responding to the specific needs of hotels and candidates. Hotels need to find candidates with suitable characteristics to fill certain positions and reduce the time and effort of screening/analysis of potential candidates. Candidates need to enhance their skills and find offers in line with their profile, increasing the chances of being taken into consideration for the position.
JobValet was created precisely to guide candidates in identifying and evaluating the typical skills (professional and interpersonal) of their role and to allow hotel facilities to find valid profiles, with experience and above all with specific skills in the role.
